Like many Yorkshire Dales villages in the 19th Century, Reeth had its own clockmaker. James Bothroyd and his son Richard, made 30 hour and 8-day long case clocks, many of which can still be found working today. 150 years later, Ian Whitworth founded Clock Works in Reeth, to offer a comprehensive repair, servicing and restoration facility for all types of clocks and barometers. Repair and restoration is carried out in a fully equipped workshop and customers can bring their clocks to the workshop, or a collection and delivery service is available in some areas. Repair estimates are free and all repairs are guaranteed for 12 months. Our showroom is now closed and only a handful of restored clocks for sale remain.
